Meet the faces behind

Don and Ruth Lambert first visited Beaufort in their quest for a new home that would blend their many interests of art, ecology and history. They were immediately captivated by the beauty of this Lowcountry town and surrounding coastal area. Since then, they have searched through the shaded avenues, meandering backroads and watery vistas to find those hidden spots which produce true photographic “wow” opportunities. They have become students of the rhythmic ebbs and flows of the salt marshes and habits of coastal wildlife, history and local culture.Don and Ruth are self-taught landscape and nature photographers benefiting greatly from the mentorship of Keith and Tiffany Briley. Don has a special interest in all things that fly, both manmade and feathered. Ruth focuses on social media and community engagement.

Our mission is to serve up a big helping of beautiful Beaufort area locations, so you take home amazing images and lifelong memories. We want you to love photographing the Lowcountry as much as we do.

Our Promise:

Nature photography is a combination of art, technology and the experience of being on location. Through Beaufort Photography Tours, we take the guesswork out of finding great Lowcountry locations and offer friendly technical assistance so you take home the images you’re hoping for and memories that will last. We’ll get you to the right location for the right light and the right tide (unless you want pictures of pluff mud!)

Our Vibe:

We are a team composed of an introverted planner and a spontaneous extrovert. We are part Yankee and part y’all. (You can decide who is who!) We take our art and work seriously, but we want you to relax and focus on getting great images, all of the time.
